The moon: our closest neighbor

Our closest neighbor, the moon.everyone has a special place for it in heart, and why not. It is so stunning. Today I want your  Little time and wanted to take you to the moon, but not physically, mentally.

The moon is not with us from the beginning of the solar system.

It became our partner with a deadly collision.

Around 4.5 billion years ago, The moon formed when the newly formed Earth collided with Mars-sized planet named theia. That collision swept away the surface of the Earth, which resulted in the formation of rings around the earth which later combined and formed the moon  

So, the moon is formed, let's talk about it surface when we see moon we see some black spots.what are these?

These spots are created because of magma (lava), yes lava.

Today, the moon is geologically dead 

But later than the moon was geological active it has lava in its core which flowed on its surface and created these marks that we see today.

Importance of the moon: our moon is really very huge, because of its size earth pole tilt for about 23°, which is much less than other planets with a small moon.

I.e mars, pluto

Its tidal force is responsible for waves in oceans. 

Moon space exploration base:- As the size of the moon is not so big it's easy to take off a rocket from the moon rather than earth.

Future of the Moon:-

1) Scientists found out that the orbital speed of the Moon is increasing and Earth's rotational speed is reducing, which is making its orbit bigger by 2cm each year, which will result in that one day the moon will only be visible by one place from the entire earth.(gravitational slingshot)

2)another assumption is that one day our sun will become a red supergiant. Then it's solar wind intensity will increase.so the moon will get closer to the Earth and earth tidal force will tear apart the moon and will again form the ring around the earth, and as the time will go, that rocks of rings  will start to collide with earth.

 But there will be no civilization on the earth to witness this, the moon which gives us life will take back from us 

And these two friends who were together at the beginning of the time will meet & hug each other
